Senatus - the Fall of Rome

Senatus is a short turn-based strategy game set in the last days of the Western Roman Empire.  You play as the leader of an influential Senate faction, making decisions each turn about how to manage your wealth and influence. The gameplay revolves around Senate hearings, where you can sway political decisions — or be blocked by rival factions.

The goal is to simply accumulate as much score as you can before the inevitable collapse. 

The game doesn't aim for historical realism but takes inspiration from the time period and explores how power and influence might function when a system is on the brink.  It’s single-player and plays a bit like a tabletop game with political and resource management elements.
